For any bibliophile, literary festivals are a highlight of the year.
Stimulating talks from your book idols, glorious British sunshine and a glass of Pimms – what more could you want?
Our favourite kind of festival – much better than standing in a muddy field listening to a band, we think. But sadly sitting in a tent among strangers is no longer an option… but the show must go on and now you don’t even need to leave your sofa to ensure front row tickets to the fun!
Who will be making an appearance at The Henley literary festival?
The much loved 76-year-old Joanne Trollope will be opening the festival to discuss family life with new author Ayisha Malik.
There will also be a conversation between Candice Brathwaite, Florence Given and Bryony Gordon on all motherhood, misogyny and much more… expect to feel like you’re having a glass of wine with your best friends.
Erica Davies will be on hand for fashion advice and Countdown’s Susie Dent makes her festival debut revealing the secret to her linguistic skills as a queen of the dictionary.
And if none of that is for you, acclaimed authors Jodi Picoult, Giovanna Fletcher are also making an appearance.
When will the festival take place?
The festival will take place from Saturday 26th September all the way until Sunday 4th October, giving you plenty of time to pick and choose which events to attend.
With over 40 events covering politics to sport and everything in between there is something for the whole family.
How do I book tickets for the Henley Literary festival?
What’s great is that you can pick and choose which events to attend for just £5 per ticket per talk. Tickets can be purchase through the full programme here and you can finally get the chance to get inside the mind of your favourite author.
See you there!
