  • Loose Women’s Linda Robson has opened up about her OCD battle.

Linda Robson opened up on yesterday’s episode of ITV’s Loose Women as she spoke out about her battle with OCD.

Revealing that at her worst point she would wash her bedsheets everyday, the star spoke about how her family were forced to put boundaries in place for her.

“I am only allowed to do so many washes a day,” revealed Linda, who admitted that at one point she had to be locked inside her house while her family contacted the police.

“I was washing my bedclothes every day, I used to do it once a week, which was fine, but then I started to do it every day,” the Birds of a Feather actress went on.

“It does completely consume your life,” continued Linda, who was at one point taken to a rehabilitation centre by Loose Women co-star Stacey Solomon. “I ended up in a clinic where they set me boundaries so I wasn’t allowed to do all of the jobs”.

Explaining how her clinic worked, Linda Robson went on, “There would be a job for someone to lay the table, someone to empty the table, someone to load the dishwasher, someone to empty the dishwasher, someone to do the hoovering, because I was doing all of it.”

The actress also spoke about how the recent coronavirus lockdown made it more difficult for her to manage her OCD, as she was stuck in her home without anything to distract her.

Speaking about how she feels the disorder may impact her family, Linda went on, “I had to watch myself with my my grandchildren, who you all know I love more than life itself, so when they’d come round I’d be following them round picking things up and washing them.

“But I had to say to myself, you’re going to stop them from wanting to come round, and you’re not going to have fun with them and they won’t want to come to you.”

“I think they have got a form of it as well.”
