  • The best Black Friday deals in the past have seen shoppers save hundreds of pounds on luxury fashion and beauty products, homeware and more. Every year major retailers such as John Lewis, Boots, Selfridges and Marks and Spencer all get involved, as do most of world’s biggest brands like Gucci, Mulberry, Dyson and Charlotte Tilbury – to name just a few.

Black Friday 2020 is set to be no different. Plus, with Christmas around the corner, it’s the perfect time to pick up some presents at a great price.

Unlike Amazon Prime Day, which sees offers just across Amazon, the best Black Friday deals can be found across a range of retailers and brands. It also means an overwhelming amount of discounts on offer. Here’s where to look for the best Black Friday deals 2020 and what to look out for in the sale next month…

Early Black Friday deals: quick links

Black Friday may not officially have started yet – but here are some early Black Friday deals that you can snap up right now…

When is Black Friday 2020 and when will the deals begin?

Black Friday was originally an American tradition, with the date always falling on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This date was chosen because it was the day typically when American shoppers started to think about Christmas and began hitting the shops in huge numbers to buy gifts.

These days, Black Friday is a global event with retailers in countries around the world all hosting huge Black Friday sales. However, the date still always falls on the first Friday after Thanksgiving – as is tradition.

Black Friday 2020 is taking place on Friday 27 November.

Although the date is well over a month away at the moment, it is more than likely that we will start to see some Black Friday related deals before November 27.

Are there any early Black Friday deals on offer now?

Yes – there will (and are!) some early Black Friday deals on offer for keen shoppers (or those looking to do some early Christmas shopping) already.

Previously, brands have launched their Black Friday sales in the week leading up to the day itself. In fact, last year, some Black Friday sales lasted nearly two weeks – not just one day!

And it seems the same is set to be true of this year, as there are already some deals to be had.

Amazon have already launched their Black Friday sale, meaning they are among the first retailers to kick off with some fantastic offers.

At the moment, there are some great UK deals on things like coffee machines and hoovers, including this De’Longhi Lattissima Touch – which is £154.99, reduced from £279.99 for today only!

Net-a-porter, a fantastic destination for designer fashion, had an impressive 50% off hundreds of clothes on their site last year. You can expect the site to run discounts again this year and the brands they sell range from Prada to Cartier.

If you’re looking for even bigger savings, discounted luxury retailer The Outnet had an unbeatable 80% discount off everything on their site last year. That meant nabbing items from Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana and Jimmy Choo for just 20% of their original retail price. So it’s worth keep an eye on what deals they offer this year too.

Best Black Friday deals 2020 from Not On The Highstreet, Le Creuset, White Company and more

When it comes to homeware and interiors, there are always great bargains to be found on Black Friday.

The White Company Black Friday deals are already being teased for this year, with the company renaming the event their ‘White Weekend’ instead of just ‘Black Friday’. Expect at least three days full of deals that will at least match the 20% off the offered in 2019.

Le Creuset put on an incredible 50 per cent off sale last year, with savings to be made across their whole range. One of the best deals included a three-piece mixed cookware set, containing a 22cm soup pot, a 24cm oval dish and a 21cm round dish, that had £100 knocked off the normal retail price.

Made.com also offered wide ranging discounts across furniture on their site in 2019. This included £50 off their cosy looking double beds and discounts on their chic corner sofas. Loaf also had up to 20% off their sofas last year, but check in on their ‘bag a bargain’ on site deals first before rushing into a Black Friday sale. There are always lots of great Loaf sofas and beds at great prices on their site year around, offered at a good discount because of small imperfections like a smudge or bump, or because it was an ex-display item.

Not On The High Street also normally partake in Black Friday – and we’re predicting some brilliant deals again this year!

Best Black Friday personal tech deals 2020

When it comes to tech deals, Amazon is one of the best places to shop on Black Friday. Last year, Amazon reduced their entry-level Kindle to under £55 and there were even better deals on headphones, with Sony offering their top-of-the-range wireless headphones for just £229 – which was over £100 off the normal price.

If you’re in the market for a new set of headphones this year or thinking of buying some as a gift, then Currys and Argos will also be offering competitive prices again this year.

When it comes to smart watches, it’s a pretty safe bet that these will be reduced too. If shopping for smart watches, keep this in mind and beware of deals that only save you between £10-£20. As it’s probably not that great of a deal.
