    Melania Trump took to her social media pages to speak out after testing positive for COVID-19, along with her husband President Donald Trump.

    After the news broke earlier this morning, the First Lady of the United States took to her FLOTUS Twitter account writing, ‘As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19.

    Giving an update on the couple’s condition, First Lady Melania added, ‘We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements.

    ‘Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.’

    President Donald Trump also spoke out after testing positive for the virus alongside his wife.

    The President of the United States took to his POTUS Twitter account, to break his silence on testing positive, writing on his social media feed, ‘Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19.

    ‘We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

    President Trump also shared the tweet on his personal realDonaldTrump account, after revealing that the couple had were awaiting their test results.

    Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!

    President Trump’s physician, Dr Sean Conley, released a statement on the Trumps testing positive for coronavirus.

    The medical expert confirmed that both President Donald Trump and wife Melania were “both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence”.

    The statement added, “Rest assured I expect the president to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments.”
