  • Aldi’s best-selling cast iron kitchenware collection is back and better than ever.

From hunting down the best induction pans, to cleaning out ancient cutlery, lockdown has had us taking serious stock of our kitchenware.

So good news for those who took the plunge and threw out some of their more long-in-the-tooth pots, dishes and casserole trays, because Aldi’s gorgeous cast iron kitchenware collection is back – and this time it’s better than ever.

Landing back in stores tomorrow (10th September), one of the biggest selling points of Aldi’s great-value cast iron collection is that the items are a dead ringer for luxe kitchenware Le Creuset – except for the fact that it’s a fraction of the price.

This time Aldi have added two new Autumnal colours to its cast-iron arsenal: A gorgeous plum ombre that looks good enough to eat, and a classic matte black. Also making a come back will be the old favourite grey ombre – so if you missed out on matching your casserole dish to your roaster last time, now’s your chance to complete your collection.

The chic range has also been extended to include new sizes of classic products such as the Shallow Casserole Dish, along with some brand new culinary must-haves.

Aldi have also introduced stylish Stoneware mugs to the collection, which will set you back just £3.99 for a set of two; or the same price for a set of four espresso mugs. (For comparison, just one Le Creuset stoneware mug will set you back around £15.)

Everything in the collection is suitable for use on gas, electric, induction and various other heat sources, and the dishes can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees celsius.

Something tells us that the heavy duty Cast Iron Casserole Dish for just £24.99 will be snapped up quickly – especially given the fact that its Le Creuset twin costs almost ten times the price at £240.

We also love the colour-coordinating wooden and silicone utensils that will complete your chic new kitchen kit, for as little as £1.99.

Though some items are available for pre-order online, the same first come first serve rule applies to the cast iron collection as does to all Aldi SpecialBuys. When they’re gone, they’re gone. So we’d advise getting down to the middle aisle of your local Aldi store pronto. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
