Duchess Catherine has been spied in a pretty pair of gemstone earrings from affordable jewellery brand Missoma – and at £85, we mere mortals can afford them too.
The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to pairing high end with high street. From accessorising with an £18 Zara headband, to sporting some of the best jewellery the high street has to offer, Duchess Catherine is something of an expert when it comes to high-low dressing.
And she’s done it yet again – this time with a colourful pair of £85 earrings from her go-to jewellery brand Missoma.
The Duchess wore the pretty hoop earrings on a visit with local businesspeople in East London yesterday. Proving that she loves a great high street accessory as much as we do, she paired the £85 earrings with a red printed shirt dress from Beluah London.
The gold mini hoop Missoma earrings feature rhodochrosite, a pink gem stone which complimented Duchess Catherine’s dress perfectly. She completed her look with a pair of pointed brown court shoes, and of course, a pretty floral face mask.
And there might just be a deeper meaning behind the Duchess’s choice of jewellery.
According to Missoma, rhodochrosite is a heart-based healing crystal that ‘encourages love and compassion in relationships’. In fact, the pale pink gemstone is dubbed the ‘stone of affection’ because ‘its gentle properties resonate with the heart, promoting confidence and self-love’.
But Duchess Catherine isn’t the only royal fan of Missoma. Her sister-in-law Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has also been spotted wearing the mid-range label on numerous occasions. (Holly Willoughby’s also a firm fan.)
And while the brand has many gorgeous styles to choose from, something tells us that it won’t be long until Duchess Catherine’s rhodochrosite gold mini hoop earrings sell out… Shop them here.
